  1. Purpose
  Project Healthspan is seeking a manufacturing partner for a transcranial photobiomodulation helmet using 810 nm LEDs with continuous, 10 Hz, and 40 Hz preset modes and two selectable power levels. This request focuses on core optical performance, pulse accuracy, electrical safety, regulatory awareness, and manufacturing quality control.
  2. Wavelength
  The primary wavelength required is 810 nm ±10 nm. Please provide a spectral output report showing peak wavelength, measurement equipment used, and wavelength tolerance.
  3. Irradiance and Uniformity
  Minimum irradiance at the scalp surface must be 50 MW/cm² at 100% power, measured at 0 mm distance. Please provide measured irradiance values at both 75% and 100% power settings. These power settings must correspond to real measured irradiance levels, not percentage labels alone.
  Provide irradiance measurements taken at multiple positions across the helmet array to demonstrate beam uniformity, not only a single peak value.
  4. Operating Modes and Pulse Stability
  The device must include preset modes for continuous (non-pulsing), 10 Hz pulsed, and 40 Hz pulsed operation. Frequency tolerance must be ±5% minimum.
  Provide documentation or test data confirming that the 10 Hz and 40 Hz presets produce stable square-wave pulsing with consistent current output. Include duty cycle specification for pulsed modes.
  Specify whether the device includes an enforced session timer and automatic shutoff to prevent continuous overuse.
