NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the Dept. of the Army / Mission Installation Contracting Command, intends to award asole source Firm-Fixed Price contract to Oshkosh Defense, LLC. Under the authority of USC 2304(c) (1) pursuant to FAR 6.202-1(a) (2), the product or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source or only from a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of property or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. As evidenced in the sole source justification provided by the requiring activity there is only one contractor that has the specific qualifications that meet the peculiar requirements of this contract. Oshkosh Defense, LLC., is the only known company in the market that currently meets this requirement in as much the only manufacturer for multiple Oshkosh Vehicle Platforms capable to train personnel according to the manufactures’ specifications.These products and services have gone through an extensive process of integration and training to ensure military personnel operates and conducts maintanance according to manufacturers specifications. Furthermore, these products and services are developed by Oshkosh Defense, LLC. Any deviation from current training could jeopardize current operations. The purchase of any other products and services would result in duplicate cost to the Government. Quotations
