RSD Pump

INTRODUCTION:

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued pursuant to FAR 15.201(e) and in conformance with DFARS PGI 206.302. This is a Request for Information/Sources Sought notice to solicit comments, questions and feedback from industry regarding a planned procurement of a fixed displacement hydraulic pump identified below. NAWCAD Lakehurst is requesting vendor sources with the capability of supplying said pump. Interested parties may submit technical literature/brochures on solutions that meet these material requirements. Any relevant information may also be submitted for consideration to aid in refinement of this requirement.

THIS RFI IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:

It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible vendors capable of providing services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice.

ELIGIBILITY:

The PSC for this requirement is 1650 (Aerospace Craft Components and Accessories -Aircraft Hydraulic, Vacuum, and De-icing System Components), NAICS is 333996 (Fluid Power Pump and Motor Manufacturing). All interested businesses are encouraged to respond.

SUBMITTAL INFORMATION:

It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package demonstrating ability to meet the requirements outlined in description. Responses must include 0567-RSD pump in subject. This documentation must address, at a minimum, the following:

1. Company Contact Information to include: Company Name, Company Address, Cage Code, Company Business Size, and Point-of-Contact (POC) name, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address.

2. Company Profile to include: Number of employees and DUNS number; Statement regarding capability.

If you are a small business, provide an explanation of your companys ability to perform at least 50% of the tasking described in the specifications.

The capability statement package shall be sent via email to AIR- 2.5.2.5.2 NAVAIR Lakehurst Contracts, Zaib Nageeb, Zaib.Nageeb.civ@us.navy.mil. Submissions must be received at the office cited no later than 5:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on 19 September 2024. 

DESCRIPTION:

NAWCAD Lakehurst is seeking a fixed displacement hydraulic pump with the following specifications and characteristics:

• Operating speed: 1200 RPM (nominal)
• Rated delivery at 1200 RPM: 0.5 USGPM (minimum)
• Operating pressure: 3000 PSIG
• Maximum Recommended pressure: 3400 PSIG
• Direct couple driven by AC motor
• Pump shall be compatible with Hydraulic fluid MIL-PRF-83282
• Overall Maximum Envelope dimension:
  • Height: 4 in
  • Width: 4 in
  • Length: 4.5 in

Other Relevant Specification:

• Coupled to 208 VAC 400Hz Motor
• Synchronous speed- 1200RPM
  • Full Load Rating- 1170 RPM, 1.45HP, 5.5 amps intermittent duty

The following specifications are preferred but not required:

• Shaft spline (motor attachment) per SAE ANSI B92.1- 1996
• Pressure angle: 30 deg
• Spline pitch: 24/48
• Number of teeth: 11
• Mounting face per AND10260 type X
• Reliability: MTBF of 1.7 x 10 hours
• Ports per AND10050-6

HOW TO RESPOND:
All interested parties must submit written responses, preferably via electronic mail within fifteen (15) days after release of this RFI with product information that meets all or a subset of the aforementioned attributes. Please submit your response to this RFI via e-mail no later than 19 September 2024, 5:30 PM EDT to Contract Specialist, Zaib Nageeb at zaib.nageeb.civ@us.navy.mil.

The Navy does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information solicited. While the Navy intends to use this information for future acquisition planning purposes, it will not release any information about your approach that might in any way compromise your competitive posture or proprietary information. The Navy will not use any information provided to level your company’s approach relative to another competitor. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. The Navy will not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Navy regulations. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated RFP/RFQ that may be issued. Information provided in no way binds the Navy to solicit or award a contract. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the System for Award Management (SAM) website: www.SAM.gov. It is the potential vendors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information.
