Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract

DLA Distribution intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order for Inspection and Recertification of Horizontal Lifeline legs 1-3 and 10-12 at the EDC Building 2001 for DLA Distribution Susquehanna, PA (DDSP) on a sole source basis to Diversified Fall Protection (large business); cage code: 5KMR7. In accordance with FAR 6.203-1 “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements and FAR 13.106-1(b) “soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.”

Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541380 with a small business size standard of $19 million and PSC of H999.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. A solicitation will not be issued for this procurement action or posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the SAM.gov website.

All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities statement of the company by September 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. EST to Brian Keckler, via email: brian.keckler@dla.mil for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received, a purchase order will be awarded to Diversified Fall Protection.
