Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD, hereby gives notice of intent to award a purchase order to Netzsch Instruments, Inc., (Cage Code: 1MNM1), on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purchase order is anticipated to include a base year plus four (4) option years of performance.

FRC Southwest has a requirement to provide emergency "On-site/On Call" repair services, materials and annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) for the existing Netzsch Thermal Analysis Equipment. The service is intended to provide unlimited emergency repairs as required and one (1) PM visit each year. Netzsch Instruments, Inc., (Cage Code: 1MNM1) is the OEM for The Netzsch Thermal Analysis System and must be maintained by the OEM so that all services will be compatible with existing systems.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be reviewed. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
