Notice of Intent to Sole Source/Sources Sought
The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) Chief Procurement Office intends to negotiate with Rescue42/Pod Runner, located in Chico, CA on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source, for providing a Mini Compact Rapid Deployable. The unique technical specifications for the Mini Compact Rapid Deployable include:
· Band-14 cell-site with ½ mile radius coverage.
· Wi-Fi coverage up to 500ft.
· Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) Satellite equipment.
· Battery backup to last for 2 hours in an event of no other power source available.
· First Responder priority service with no throttling or cancellation.
The NAICS Code is 423690 – Other Electronic Parts and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers, with a Small Business Size Standard of 250 employees. FirstNet anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price contract to Rescue42 for this requirement. Interested parties who can demonstrate they can satisfy the requirements listed above for FirstNet must clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. Please limit responses to five (5) pages or less. Responses should include the following information:
1. Name of company that will provide product.
2. Name of company that will manufacture the product.
3. Spec sheets and examples of products that meet the specifications.
4. Typical lead time to deliver the product after receipt of order.
5. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in developing our minimum specifications and finalizing our market research.
This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. If competitive procedures are not used it is estimated that an award will be issued by September 20, 2024.
