Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

The Billings Area Indian Health Service, Fort Peck Service Unit, Poplar and Wolf Point, Montana intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Nemont Telephone Cooperative, P.O. Box 600, 61 HWY 13 S., Scobey, MT 59263.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 517111 - Wired Telecommunications Carriers. The object of this sole source award is to have local and long distance wired telecommunication services at the Fort Peck Service Unit Poplar, White Buffalo and Chief Redstone clinic locations. Nemont has the infrastructure in place, and is the only source of the services in the area.

This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.Telephone requests and offers will not be honored.
