This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. This is strictly market research and the government will not entertain questions concerning this market research.
The intent of this notice is to determine the socioeconomic status of all potential vendors that can successfully provide preventative maintenance services on Shimadzu scientific instruments. Results of this notice will help determine if the upcoming requirement can be set aside for small business.
The requirement includes complete system alignment, cleaning/lubrication of mechanical assemblies, calibration tests, and validation tests; use of Shimadzu Instruments parts only; all parts, labor, and travel; software and firmware updates; unlimited remote diagnostic support and phone support for the instruments below.

The anticipated award will be for a 12-month base year and include at least one (1) 12-month option period.
Vendors having technical capabilities necessary to meet the needs of the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via email. The capability statement must include the following:
1) Company name and point of contact information
2) UEI number
3) Small business size/certification (to include 8(a),HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.)
4) Brief explanation of recent and relevant work (past 3 years)
Responses must be emailed to amanda.somerville@usda.gov and must be received no later than 2pm (MT) on August 15, 2024. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests.
