1. Isolation Transformers: 750 kva(1, EA) and 300 kva(1,EA) isolation transformers. Delta-Delta 480-480 volts. Copper windings. Transformer shall be dry type. Pad mounted. 5 step tap changer. Space heater as required (480V). Electrical Warning signs on all 4 sides of the transformer. The isolation transformer tap shall be lowered for 450 volts. This is the operating voltage of the 270’ Harriet Lane.

NEMA ST 20, general purpose, dry-type, self-cooled. 304 Stainless steel construction and painted with a 2 part epoxy. Standard transformer color is light gray. Provide transformers in NEMA 3R 304 SS enclosure.

Transformer will be installed outdoors and shall have be a 115 degrees C epoxy encapsulated dry type transformer. Transformer of 115 degrees C temperature rise shall be capable of carrying continuously 115 percent of the nameplate kVA without exceeding insulation rating.

Transformers shall be provided with six (6) voltage adjusting taps (2 above and 4 below rated primary voltage). They shall also be equipped with electrostatic shields between the primary and secondary winding, as well as between the windings and the core. Minimum efficiency, based on factory test results, shall not be less than NEMA Class 1 efficiency as defined by NEMA TP 1.
