APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to ICEYE for flood inundation, depth, and extent data produced via Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite imagery. These data will allow the CDC/ATSDR to support flooding-related emergency preparedness, response, and recovery events with the ability to access near real-time information on where flooding is occurring, how deep the flooding is, and how long flooding has occurred in areas of interest. Knowing this flooding information supports the work of CDC/ATSDR and our public health partners in work involving mold remediation, measuring disease vector risk, effects of flooding on public health campaigns (ie, vaccination programming), environmental exposure assessments and tracking and mitigating impacts to health infrastructure (hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, etc) and hazardous sites (National Priority List/Superfund sites). This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) [SD(1] and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to contract specialist at dsmythe@cdc.gov by 4PM Eastern Time, 7/3/2024.
