NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

Elevator Replacement Services of the U.S. Embassy Kampala

This is not a solicitation. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a single source procurement under NAICS code 333921.

The U.S. Embassy Kampala, Uganda will award a stand-alone contract to Roko Technical Services Limited to decommission two existing elevators, supply, install and commission two Schindler elevators. The uniformity of the elevators from one manufacturer (Schindler) to match existing elevators on the compound will allow for standardization of services and parts for all elevators on the U.S. Embassy compound. Roko is the only authorized distributor in Uganda for Schindler elevators.

The estimated period of performance will be for one year, at the USG’s discretion.

The stand-alone contract will be under NAICS code 333921 to Roko Technical Limited, the only authorized distributor of the Schindler in Uganda.

This is a sole source requirement in accordance with authority citation, FAR Part 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. For this requirement, Roko Technical Limited is considered the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Embassy Kampala requirements.
