NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

Marine Corps Field Contracting System, Marine Corps Installations East, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC
hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Kistler Consulting, LLC, 8511 Missionary Ct.
Louisville, KY 40291 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one
responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This product is particular to
one manufacturer, Upton Bass String Instrument Co. who holds all rights to the UB Mittenwald Model Double
Bass: Hybrid. The handcrafted instrument can only be serviced or repaired by Upton Bass personnel.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the
Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion
of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether
to conduct competitive procurement.

This requirement is for one (1) UB ‘Mittenwald’ Model Double Bass Hybrid, manufactured by Upton Bass String
Instrument Co.

Interested firms may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses must be
received at the Contracting Office no later than 02:00 PM EST, 17 May 2024. Point of contact is Robert Anderson,
