Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract for technical representative services to inspect and repair shaft seals to Defense Maritime Solutions, Inc (DMS). This requirement is for commercial items/services as defined in FAR 2.101 and will be prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.
The requirement will be awarded on a sole source basis to DMS as DMS is considered by NAVSEA to be the OEM for the MX-9 shaft seal for all surface ships and CVNs.
The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 336611, Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment: Ships, Small Craft, Pontoons, and Floating Docks, with a size standard of
1,300 employees. The Product Service Code is J020.
The period of performance for this acquisition is anticipated to begin 09 May 2024 and end 24 June 2024.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must
show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than May 1st, 2024 at 10:00AM EST via email to Kim

All responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the Government. By submitting a response, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the principal
corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for
refusing to accept the response. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management
(SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be
