Description: THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a 100% Small Business owned AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov).

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following:

12445224B0008: Grandfather Road Maintenace at the Grandfather Ranger District in the Pisgah National Forest in Nebo, NC.

The project is located at the Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina. The Forest Service is requesting proposals for the road recondistioning of 37.9 miles in the Grandfather Ranger District. Work Includes the blading and shaping the existing traveled way and shoulders, including turnouts, to produce a uniform surface, consistent to grade, and crowned or cross-sloped as indicated in existing surface to design specifications.

Solicitation 12445224B0008 is designated for this effort and will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about May 9, 2024. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings, and other information necessary to submit a proposal for this project.

A pre-bid site visit is currently planned and will be scheduled in the RFP. The solicitation will include site visit information, as necessary.

Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $100,000 and $250,000.
