USDA -NRCS Idaho Snow Survey, in cooperation with the Army Corps of Engineers, conducts an annual snow elevation reconnaissance flight in and near the Boise River basin to ensure safe operations of the Boise Reservoir sy tem. These remote locations and associated work are only accessible by helicopter.
• Vendor must agree to fulfill flight itinerary (see below for details) in Ada, Elmore, and Boise Counties, Idaho and departing/arriving from Boise Airport (BOI} in Boise, ID.
• Vendor must understand dates are flexible and contingent on flyable weather conditions, and vendor must promptly work with customer to reschedule flights as needed.
• Vendor adheres to parameters of 135 certificate – Vendor must show proof both aircraft & pilot hold interagency carding for mission type by DOI or USFS, including carding
specific to snow landings.
• Helicopter must support 4 or more passengers and 100 lbs cargo for all flights. Examples of helicopters that meet payload and capacity requirements: Bell 206-L4, BH-407, or
Airbus-B3.
• Vendor must provide a short narrative of their experience flying in these specific mountains or similar. Pilot and Aircraft must meet requirements in General Manual 420.123 and
420.124
