MUST BE PRINTED ON A PRESS CAPABALE OF PRINTING 4-COLORS IN A SINGLE PASS. OFFSET PRINTING ONLY.

CASE BOUND BOOK: 626 text pages plus cover prints head-to-head in 4-color process and black ink plus flood coated with a matt UV coating through-out publication, no bleeds on text pages. Prints with type, rules, solids, screens, reverses, line art illustrations and color halftone. The coating must be evenly applied with no trapped foreign particles or air bubbles. Covers 1 prints, 4 and spine print in a 4-colorprocess plus gloss UV coating, bleeds on all edges. Contractor is cautioned that several pages have crossover solids, color illustrations and halftones that requires critical alignment and color match across the bind. All screens must be smooth. See attachments A to D.

POCKET ENVELOPE: Fold and glue pocket to yield an envelope with one open end (on short edge), one seam down the middle of the back, one thumb notch at center of open edge, no flap. See attachment E.

MAP: 1,100 Maps, 58.72" wide X 39.51" high; prints face only in 4-color process folds to 6.9 x 8.3" as per sample. Trim just inside registration marks. contractor to set up trapping for the RIP (trapping not set in the digital files). Set dot gain appropriate for inks and paper type, set grayscale images to print with black ink (dont convert to CMYK gray), CMYK color system, set 100% Black to overprint all other information, files contain linked and embedded raster files, Rip at high resolution possible (2400 preferred) with a line screen of 150 dpi.

BINDERY: Contractor to case bind on 11-1/4" left side. Smyth (signature) sew with pasted, plain end leaves. Trim 3 sides, round back, with a solid black headband and foot band. Reinforce back with crash and strong paper liner. Case bind with suitable squares. Bind with Standard for Library Binding 2000. Contractor to bind pocket folder as last text page, contactor must add spacers in the binding area in the back of the book to ensure pocket envelope and map will fit properly. Insert 1,100 maps into pocket envelope.

SPINE: Contractor to adjust spine size as necessary.
