USAFA Storage Solutions

This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.

The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) 10th Medical Group is seeking potential sources capable of providing and installing a storage solution compromised of industrial shelving in various configurations.

The storage solutions are required to meet the following minimum salient characteristics listed for each unit A through H:

A. Open storage units w/closed back and wire or semi-open sides, w/hanging bar. Used to store decontamination suits which must be allowed to hang freely. Wire or slotted sides allow for air flow so suits dry properly and mitigate mold buildup.

B. Storage unit w/closed back and wire or semi-open sides, w/4 or 5 shelves. To be secured to unit “A” above. Open sides allow for decon boots & gloves to dry appropriately as well.

C. Work bench with upper storage, work surface, and storage drawers.

D. Storage units enclosed on 3 sides w/4-5 shelves each, must be secured to each other side by side.

E. Storage units enclosed on 3 sides w/4-5 shelves, to be secured back-to-back with 2 on each side.

Size: 48”W x 36”D x 96”H

F. Storage unit enclosed on 3 sides with 4 shelves, will be placed along the end of the units above serving as an “end cap” with shelves.

G. Bulk units each to have a solid shelf across the top allowing for stacking items & another solid shelf 2’ below giving a total of two storage shelves per rack (72"W x 48"D) with the underneath portion open for bulk storage of larger items. These two racks will be placed one in front of the other allowing a total depth storage of 96” (2 x 48”).

H. Bulk units each to have a solid shelf across the top allowing for stacking items & another solid shelf 2’ below giving a total of two storage shelves per rack (96"W x 36"D) with the underneath portion open for bulk storage of larger items. These three units will be secured side-by-side along the west wall.

Specifics related to the required storage solution are as follows:

- All units must be anchored to the concrete floor.

- Include removal and disposal of existing shelving that is bolted to the concrete floor.

- Must be industrial strength & able to accommodate heavy items weighing up to 100 lbs.

- All units that will be “touching” each other need to be secured together to prevent falling over.

- Only space to the right of the chain link fence can be used (see Attachment 1).

- Alpha characters are included in the PDF Attachment 1 - Storage Layout Description and Diagram, the list corresponds to those on the diagram to show an estimated configuration (not to scale).

The recommended North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 337215 – Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees.

Delivery is FOB: Destination to USAF Academy, CO 80840.

Interested parties should submit a capabilities package explicitly demonstrating the company’s ability to meet the above requirements. Respondents are requested to indicate their status as a foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. Accompany your submission with POC contact information, company CAGE Code, Unique Entity ID (SAM.gov), System for Award Management (SAM) registration expiration date.
