Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source:
The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533, hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Parpas Americas Corp., (CAGE 6G0H4) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
This procurement is to provide the repair of a Shark Milling Machine. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 811210 per the Performance Work Statement. The Parpas Americas Corp., software, control board setup, blue prints, and data rights are proprietary to Parpas Americas Corp. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Parpas Americas Corp., the original equipment manufacturer.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within four (4) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
