This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Purchasing and Contracts on behalf of the Cellular Engineering intends to award a fixed price contract to Reytek Equipment, LLC located at 11600 Cochiti Rd, SE in Albuquerque NM 87123-3376 on a sole source basis to supply Stainless shelf carts.

Center for Cellular Engineering has a requirement for additional shelving equipment and components used to support manufacturing operations. The carts will be used to store spare centrifuge rotors, pipettes, and other small equipment that supports manufacturing operations. As this is a Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) space the materials of construction must be able to withstand the harsh cleaning and sanitization chemicals associated with manufacturing operations. Reytek offers steel (316) carts with three shelves with maximum load ratings up to 150lbs that can be used in the area with space constraints. Reytek Equipment is the original equipment manufacturer and supplier of the customized carts. In addition, the only sole source that can manufacture and the only company that custom makes the required product for us to suit our agency needs. Material must be stainless steel (316) and each shelf must be able to support up to 150lbs. The carts must be of specific dimensions, 18 inches, by 48 inches, by 60 inches tall, due to space constraints.

This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
