Synopsis: Bldg 760 & 780 Roof Repair, SOURCES SOUGHT.

The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) Businesses, SBA certified HUBZone Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses, and/or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses with current and relevant experience, personnel and capability to perform “Bldg 760 & 780 Roof Repair” located at the 190th ARW, 5920 SE Coyote Drive, Topeka, KS 66619. A Brief Description of work includes: The contractor shall provide the necessary, personnel, equipment, transportation, and materials required to repair that will demo the existing roof and insulation. Replace with new roof system membrane, insulation, fasteners, exhaust, and vent openings, other roof penetrations, provide adequate drains, roof slope, parapet walls and flashing, roof access and ladders, lightning protection and grounding if required, and skylights on two separate buildings, for a total of 26,032 sf. All work performed shall be conducted in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations, ANG policies and regulations, and a Performance Work Statement.

This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid, Request for Proposal or Request for Quote and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this market research.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238160 – Roofing Contractors. The small business size standard is $19 million. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 22 February 2024, 1:00 p.m. Central. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include (1) positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor, and (2) a completed and signed Sources Sought Response Form (attached) and (3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor. (4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract.

In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
