Forest Skidders with Wildland Firefighting Equipment

(IAW FAR Part 5.203)

Procurement Information:

The 409th Theater Contracting Command (TCC) has a requirement for Forest Skidders with Wildland Firefighting Equipment in support of Army Fire Departments in Europe. This procurement also requires the contractor to develop and provide training sessions NLT than 2 weeks after delivery of the equipment for at least 24 hours onsite training (at delivery location – Grafenwoehr, Germany) for approximately 20 students in in English and German. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an IFB, RFP, or RFQ in the future. Sources Sought (SS) and Request for Information (RFI):

The 409th TCC posted a SS/RFI (W564KV24SKIDDERS) on SAM.gov on 30th October 2023, with a closing date of 13th November 2023. The 409th TCC received questions from industry and answers are provided on Attachment 3 “Question & Answers from Forest Skidders Sources Sought W564KV24SKIDDERS”.

The Government intends to solicit proposals to promote full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.101. This Synopsis Notice is being posted in accordance with FAR 5.203(h) because one or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements.
