This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available.

This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2023-06 and DFARS Change Notice 10/30/2023. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses:

The NAICS code is 811310. The small business size standard is $12.5 Million. The Government intends to negotiate and award the resulted contract on a SOLE SOURCE basis to Schenck Corp.

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends on procuring upgrades of the software for printer capability and the calibration of four (4) Schenck Balancing Machines through a sole source solicitation to Schenck Corp. (CAGE: 30218), who is the OEM to these Balancing Machines. The required machine calibration can only be completed by the OEM. Any other calibration would not be recognized under Schenck. The Place of Performance is Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME. The Period of Performance is 45 days ARO.
