The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the qualification requirements to conduct an engineering assessment for obsolescence for the Flight Control Computer (FCC) NSN: 6615-01-352-7003 FX, P/N: 478500-09-01 and provide the Government a way forward with a Form, Fit, Function, and Interface (F3I) replacement of the F-15E FCC. The level of security clearance in this requirement has not been determined.

The contractor shall deliver an Engineering Assessment in the form of an Engineering Evaluation Report (EER) that will identify the level of effort for a F3I replacement of the Flight Control Computer (FCC) NSN: 6615-01-352-7003, P/N: 478500-09-01. The Engineering Assessment shall address piece part modernization and part availability that is fully compatible to the specifications of the current NSN. The EER shall outline the technical design of the replacement, discuss the Engineering Assessment, detail how the contractor shall address the obsolete components issues/risks, the steps theyll take to mitigate these issues/risks in the future F3I replacement effort, and provide an official quote. The subassemblies of the new design shall be compatible with the legacy F-15E FCC configuration currently in use. These redesigned subassemblies shall be used to repair the legacy F-15E FCC configurations. The official quote for the F3I F-15E FCC Replacement shall include a breakdown of cost elements that includes but is not limited to: Engineering Support, Prototype Fabrication, Technical Data, Testing, Develop & Design Prototype, & Travel along with the expected Period of Performance.
