The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) develops, and manages a multidisciplinary program of basic and applied research in support of the National Marine Fisheries Service.

The Government has existing infrastructure at NEFSC Wood Hole through with Internet access and network connectivity is provided to three (3) existing office buildings. The Government has a follow on requirement to maintain the existing high-speed internet access and fiber optic network connectivity to the NEFSC Woods Hole LAN through a single Internet Service Provider.

The period of performance is for 1 year Base plus 4 Option Years as follows:

Base: 03/01/2024 – 02/28/2025

Option Year 1: 03/01/2025 – 02/28/2026

Option Year 2: 03/01/2026 – 02/28/2027

Option Year 3: 03/01/2027 – 02/29/2028

Option Year 4: 03/01/2028 – 02/28/2029

The Government intends to sole-source this procurement with OpenCape Corporation, a large business, located in Barnstable, Massachusetts.

NAICS Code is 517111 – Wired Telecommunications Carriers with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees.

This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit their alternate suggestions. Responses must be received within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice. All responses must be submitted to the Government point of contact at the e-mail address shown below. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
