NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE

The 92d Contracting Squadron in Fairchild AFB, Washington intends to award a sole source purchase order to COMCAST GOVERNMENT SERVICES for the purchase of a minimum of one gigabit (1Gbps) leased VRF Direct Fiber Line service as a high-capacity circuit for the transmission of 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) point-to-point between the CATM Range at 13033 W SR 902 Hwy, Spokane, WA and Dial Central Office (DCO) Bldg. 2248B on Fairchild AFB, WA. The government believes Comcast is the only vendor capable of providing the required services within 30 days. Any vendor other than Comcast would be required trench a new fiber line to the site and this would result in additional costs and time delays to the government. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The anticipated award date is on or before November 1, 2023. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for capability statements is October 30, 2023 at 10 AM Pacific Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
