Physical Support Branch: Maintenance and Repair Unit, requests the award of a contract for service work repairs to their Linkbelt LS-218 Crane. The Maintenance and Repair Unit has a mission requirement to complete in 2023/24 involving Lock and Dam Chamber dewatering work and other operations that require the use of the Linkbelt LS-218 crane. This contract is to supply service and parts and repair work to the Linkbelt LS-218 crane for Maintenance and Repair Unit to support mission requirements.

Scope of Work

1. The Linkbelt LS-218 crane Serial Number B6LJ0-3653 experienced deficiencies in the most recent annual safety inspection (30 Aug 2023). These include: leaking oil pressure sending unit, hydraulic fluid sight glass not useable, fuel oil sight glass not usable, turntable bolts to be checked for proper nut/bolt torque specifications and brake bands need to be deglazed.
2. Contractor shall take all necessary actions to: Replace leaking oil pressure sending unit with OEM parts or suitable substitution, replace hydraulic fluid sight glass, replace fuel oil sight glass, 100% check of turntable bolts for proper nut/bolt torque specifications and tighten as necessary, remove and de-glaze brake bands and re-install.
3. All parts shall be genuine OEM parts.
4. Any additional repairs identified during the repair process must be approved in writing by the contracting officer with a written estimate and pictures showing what needs to be repaired before the work can be completed.
5. All work shall be completed by an OEM repair facility and or representative.
6. All work shall be completed on the Linkbelt LS-218 by November 3, 2023 as the machine is need for Lock and Dam operations.

The contractor will be responsible for making the repairs on site.
