ELECTRIC POWER DISTRIBUTION SERVICE

FOR FACIILITIES LOCATED WITHIN PUERTO RICO

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and 40 U.S.C. 113(e)(3) which authorizes the Department of Defense to acquire utility services for military facilities. Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast, Jacksonville, FL, intends to award a follow-on utility contract to supersede N69450-13-C-0018, on a single source basis, to Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.

This contract is for electrical commodity service in support of facilities located within the area of Puerto Rico. Contractor shall furnish, and the Government shall purchase and receive electric power service and electric meter as requested by the Government from the Utility Provider.

Interested Utility Providers may identify their interest and ability to meet the subject requirements, as stated herein, along with its authority to provide service subjective to the servicing location in the form of a published tariff or regulatory ordinance. Any submission of interest thereof must include the entity’s active registration of its Cage Code. FAR 52.214-34 applies.

The associated NAICS code for this procurement is 221122 – Electric Power Distribution with a Small Business size standard of 1,000 employees and the associated Product Service Code for this procurement is S112 Utilities – Electric.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Responses to this posting by an interested utility provider servicing the aforementioned location must be submitted to ryan.d.bell16.civ@us.navy.mil and antonio.l.borgesrosario.civ@us.navy.mil in PDF format, no later than 11:00 A.M. EST, 1 NOV 2023.
