The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron, Cannon AFB, New Mexico has sole sourced a 6-month extension to Shadowbox Consulting Associates, LLC. CAGE: 7HVL9, ADDRESS: 7630 Little River TPKE STE 903 Annandale, Virgina 22003, United States. The FAR clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services was originally included in the initial solicitation and contract, however pricing and CLINs were not incorporated into the contract at time of award. It was beneficial for the Government to solicit pricing for the 6-month extension processed under the Option to Extend Services clause directly to this contractor to utilize previously incorporated clauses and minimize administrative efforts/costs for the continuation of services. FAR 13.501(a) allows for sole source acquisitions to be exempt from FAR Part 6 requirements. IAW FAR 5.202(a)(11), the Contracting Officer has determined that the need to submit a synopsis is not required for this contract action, as it meets the terms of the existing contract which was previously synopsized in adequate detail. Future requirements will be competed as this contract will have no remaining period of performance extensions available for use. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals.
