Kents Lake Campground Reconstruction Project

Project Summary:

The Fish Lake National Forest may issue a Solicitation for a Project to Reconstruct the Kents Lake Campground on the Beaver Ranger District. This is not a solicitation and in no way commits the Government to award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement. The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the areas prior to heavy snowfall and issuing the solicitation. This solicitation should be issued in early spring of 2024.

This project may include one or more of the following type of work:

1. Install new gravel on roads and spurs
2. Improve/install new drainage features such as culverts and/or ditches
3. Construct new gravel and/or concrete paths
4. Upgrade campsite furnishings to current standard
5. Make adjustments to and enlarge spurs and campsites
6. Enlarge Day Use Area Turnaround and widen approach for additional parking
7. Adjust campsites as necessary to make more stable despite erosion

The work anticipated under any contract resulting from the solicitation will be started as soon as conditions on-the-ground are favorable for the prosecution of the work next spring (estimate late May 2024 starting date).

Site Visit Information:

A Forest Service site visit of the Campground will take place at 2:00 p.m. on October 17, 2023 at the Kents Lake Campground. See attached for location map. Access can be obtained via State Route 153, east, out of Beaver, UT and taking the turnoff on Kents Lake Road.

The function of the Forest Service site visit is to show the on-the-ground location of the work areas and boundaries.
