The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source (SDVOSB) contract with NEIE Medical Waste Services, LLC for Miscellaneous Trash and Solid Waste Removal Services for the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. Service to include, but not limited to: removal of miscellaneous trash and solid waste. Miscellaneous trash is to include all articles of trash, paper, wrappings, cartons, bottles, cans, floor sweepings, excess food and discarded trimmings, kitchen grease, construction debris other than that generated by Contractors, leaves, grass trimmings, glass and dead vegetation as may accumulate at this facility. Services shall be performed at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1970 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, Virginia 24153. at Salem VAMC. Period of performance will 30 days. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) soliciting from a single source 38 U.S.C 8127(b); under VAAR 819.7007 Sole Source award to a verified SDVOSB. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past-experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
