This is a notice of the governments intent to solicit and award a contract on a sole source basis. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), the 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, SC intends to solicit and award a contract to Airborne Systems North America, NJ. 5800 Magnolia Ave Pennsauken, NJ 08109-1309, a large business, for a quantity of 60 Replacement Parachute Oxygen Hoses (HOSE, ASSY, POLYESTER, 120" w/ 1/8" 1AF1-B1 Dixon brass QD fitting) for the 437 Special Operations Squadron.

These items are replacement components fo the PHAOS Oxygen System. IAW AFI 10-3503, Air Force Peronnel Parachute Program (PPP), all equipment used by Air Force parachutists for military parachuting operations must be on the PPP Approve for Use List (AUL). The PHAOS Oxygen System is an approved Category I system, manufactured by Airborne Systems; therefore, the contracting officer has determined the circumstances of the acqusition deem only one source reasonably available.

This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations; however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered soley for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
