Industry Day

Introduction:

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Directed Energy Directorate (RD), will host a hybrid Industry Day on 19 October 2023. This event will provide an overview of the DETER ARA (FA9451-21-S-0001) and the TACTICAL BAA (FA9451-24-S-0001) which will support AFRL/RD in its mission to equip the warfighter with next-generation technologies, innovative solutions, and advanced research and development concepts for directed energy investments.

Objective:

The objective of Industry Day is to provide industry partners and academia with an overview of the DETER ARA and TACTICAL BAA announcements. This event is an excellent opportunity for the Government and industry partners to meet, enhance awareness, and gain further understanding of the opportunities offered under DETER ARA and TACTICAL BAA. In addition, Industry Day will offer ample opportunities to communicate directly with the presenters and technical experts through breakout sessions after each briefing.

Registration

To register for the Industry Day the following is required:

1. All interested parties must complete Attachment 1 - Registration Form and return it to the DETER Org Mailbox (AFRL.DETER.ARA@us.af.mil) no later than 06 Oct 2023. Industry Day participants must be U.S. citizens. Registration is limited to two (2) representatives per firm; firm is further defined as division/subsection of a company. Email confirmation will be sent to the address provided on the registration form confirming receipt. A separate email will be sent on or before 18 October 2023 with the link to access the virtual Industry Day.
   • (In-Person Only) Attendees must arrive at Bldg. 201 on 19 Oct 2023 between 8:00am – 8:30am Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) for check-in. If attendees do not have access to Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) and will require a Base Pass, please answer “yes” on registration form. Those attendees will be contacted directly on how to get access to the base. Please enter KAFB through the Truman gate only. (Attachment 2 - Maps to Truman Gate and Bldg. 201).
   • ***Each in-person attendee must complete and submit his/her own Registration Form***
2. To allow discussions at an appropriate level of detail, all non-Government attendees are required to be U.S. citizens and must provide a copy of their organization’s DD2345, “Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement,” no later than 06 Oct 2023 (prior to being confirmed for registration). Details regarding acquiring and submitting a DD2345 are available on the Defense Logistics Agency/Joint Certificate website https://www.dla.mil/HQ/LogisticsOperations/Services/JCP/DD2345Instructions/. The certification process for completing the DD 2345 may take up to 30 days or more.
3. Discussions involving Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) will only take place in-person during the breakout sessions. No CUI will be discussed or provided virtually. Attendees shall not release or otherwise disclose CUI without prior written approval from AFRL.
4. Attendees who do not provide all necessary items by 06 October 2023 will not be registered for this event.
