The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting offers for a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract type with an estimated magnitude for the base and options between $25,000 and $100,000. The Government anticipates awarding a sole contract to make improvements to Highway 12 outside Kooskia, Idaho. Additional awards, at Forest Service discretion, may be considered depending on Forest Service need and results for proposal evaluations.

Scope of Work:
The Kootenai National Forest is seeking to replace two old floating docks at two separate recreation sites. The docks are used as boarding floats at boat launches and are important components of providing public lake access. Both docks are to be operated on the sites’ concrete boat ramps and will be adjusted as needed seasonally. However, each dock will incorporate a different design to meet this function. The McGregor Lake boat dock is the base item in the contract with the Rexford Bench boat dock to be awarded as an option item.

This opportunity is set aside for total small businesses.

Location(s):
McGregor Lake (BASE)

The McGregor Lake Campground and the associated boat launch is located 54 miles southeast of Libby, Montana. Or 36 miles west of Kalispell, Montana. The campground is on the southside of U.S. Hwy 2 and accesses the far western end of McGregor Lake. The Lake can experience high winds and the lake level can fluctuate as much as 10 feet. The campground entrance road and road to the boat launch area is wide and paved. See the attached maps for more detailed location information.

Rexford Bench (OPTION ITEM)

The Rexford Boat Ramp is located 8 miles west of Eureka, MT. The boat ramp is located on the northern end of the campground and on the eastern shore of Lake Koocanusa. The campground entrance road and road to the boat ramp area are wide and paved. See the attached maps for more detailed location information.
