The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to Sun Nuclear Corp. for a firm fixed-price contract for Sun Nuclear ArcCheck and SunCheck quality assurance (QA) devices for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii. Sun Nuclear Corp. is the only company to provide these QA devices utilized in radiation therapy that work together with the suite of QA devices from Sun Nuclear already in use by TAMC’s Radiation Oncology Dept. The NAICS code for this procurement if 334519.

The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other suppliers will satisfy agency requirements.

This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirement under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
