Flexible scopes usually do not require general anesthetic and are more comfortable for the patient. The estimated value of the proposed action is $203,404.82. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: Alliant Healthcare is the exclusive authorized Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business reseller for endoscopic and surgical products for Olympus America. Alliant Healthcare is authorized to purchase products from Olympus and to resell them to the federal government on an Open Market basis or, where applicable, through the Alliant Healthcare FSS, DAPA, or ECAT contracts. The Olympus GI scopes represent an upgrade in GI scope technology, allowing GI and operating room to have greater flexibility and diagnostic capability while exposing the patient to less discomfort and less procedural risk. The GI Lab is familiar with these products, as they have historically employed the rigid variety for their GI scope procedures. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: VetCert was queried for SDVOSB/VOSB concerns with 597 SDVOSB/VOSB result using NAICS code 339112, additionally, Alliant Healthcare is the exclusive authorized Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business reseller for endoscopic and surgical products for Olympus America and best positioned to provide the total of both the installation services and hardware / equipment needed to continue patient care.
