NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Services: Omnicell Maintenance Base + 2 years for South Texas HealthCare System THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), VISN 17 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract for the South Texas VA Health Care System, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd. San Antonio, Texas. This proposed contract action is to procure a maintenance service agreement for Omnicell equipment located at the Audie L. Murphy Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter Boulevard, San Antonio, TX 78229, Kerrville VA Medical Center, 3600 Memorial Blvd, Kerrville, TX 78028, and Northwest Healthcare Clinic, 9939 State Highway 151, San Antonio, TX, 78251. Period of Performance: Base Period: 09/30/2023-09/29/2024 Option Year 1: 09/30/2024-0929/2025 Option Year 2: 09/30/2025-/09/29/2026 Classification Code: J065 NAICS: 811210 Government intends to award a BASE + 2 fixed-price option contracts to Omnicell, 590 E Middlefield Rd., Mountain View, CA 94043. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source can provide the services required at the level of quality required because the services are unique or highly specialized. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit supporting evidence to be reviewed. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause 852.212-72(c). Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No cost to the government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the government use of such information.
