Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to negotiate a limited source contract under FAR (FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B)), Only One Responsible Source for the supplies listed below. The vendor will be Beckman Coulter, Inc., 250 S. Kraemer Blvd. P.O. Box 8000 Brea, CA 92822-8000. This is not a request for competitive offers. Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award a VISN 6 Urinalysis Bridge contract to Beckman Coulter, Inc., 250 S. Kraemer Blvd. P.O. Box 8000 Brea, CA 92822-8000. This is a Sole Source requirement to satisfy the minimum requirements for VISN 6. VISN 6 Laboratories are seeking a bridge contract to continue current Cost per Test services for urinalysis testing with Beckman Coulter, Inc for a base period of three months with one 3-month option period.
