This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is 36C24123Q0842_1 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) A statement that the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-04. (iv) This requirement is being issued as an open market, service-disabled veteran owned small business set-aside (SDVOSB). Evaluation Process: Award shall be made to the best value, as determined to be the most beneficial to the Government. Project Management / Equipment Implementation Emergency Management Process Improvement (EMPI) is funding this project. This project was approved by the Executive Director, Fiscal, and Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The funds are specific Control Point just for EMPI projects. The equipment will be housed in the Emergency Cache until it is needed due to emergency. Background/Justification/ This will provide our first receivers with the tools they will need to provide patient decontamination. This will also provide staff the protection when encountering particularly dangerous conditions brought on by exposures to chemical, biological, radiological, or even nuclear (CBRN) hazards. The BioShield Hoods are a mission essential PPE for Ebola and High Consequence infection protection.
