THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD CONTRACT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, FOR A DOCTOR FOR CASE CONSULTATION ADVICE, REVIEW OF AUTOPSY PHOTOGRAPHS AND EVIDENCE, TO ASSIST WITH INVESTIGATIONS INTO VIOLENT CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN.

The U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Professional Services Acquisition Unit intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price contract to the University of Florida, College of Medicine, 1600 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32610 for a Dr. to assist with investigations into violent crimes against children. The service is for a qualified Dr. to assist with review of autopsy photographs and evidence resulting from investigations into violent crimes against children.

This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 8.405-6 limited source, only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
