Solicitation # 36C26223Q0963 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and constitutes the only solicitation. The Government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award. This procurement will be issued as an unrestricted solicitation. The Government is seeking a contract to acquire a fluorescence microscope for the Long Beach VA Medical Center. This solicitation is being procured as a brand name or equal IAW 52.211-6 -- Brand Name or Equal. The submissions must meet the following salient characteristics: Must have a fully integrated digital inverted microscope Must be a fluorescence microscope capable of 3D fluorescent imaging Must be compatible with the Life Technologies® LED light cube system Must have an automated cube carriage Must have four-color fluorescence Must be capable of tissue imaging for H&E (hematoxylin and eosin) staining and immunohistochemistry analysis Must have a 3.2 megapixel or greater CMOS camera Must be able to produce color images Must have autofocus Must allow capture of quantitative fluorescence images Must have analyzing software for acquisition, review, and analysis Must be able to control functions through software eliminating the need to touch the instrument except to mount the slide and adjust the stage Must be compatible with the Life Technologies® Celleste 6 Software 6 Dongle One Must be maintenance-free and not require assembly, alignment, or calibration Must have a condenser shield Must have a UV light shield Must have a stage light shield Must have a block condenser slider Must have a 4X objective condenser slider Must have a diffusion condenser slider Must have a universal stage plate Must come with the following fluorite objectives: 40X, 4X, 10X, 20X Must come with an objective case with adjustable compartments Must come with the following accessories: wireless USB computer mouse, wireless USB keyboard, USB Wi-Fi dongle, dust cover, one Type B (North America) power cord, and a universal power supply at 24Volts, 5 Amps The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality and services that will be satisfactory.
