The solicitation has two individual line items, which allows for up to two awardees as follows:

Item A – Building 1016

The project includes all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the roof replacement of a bunkhouse located on the Wild Rivers Ranger District at the Illinois Valley Ranger Station located in Cave Junction, Oregon. The project includes but not limited to replacing the existing cedar shake roof with a metal roof.

Item B – Lodgepole Guard Station

The project includes all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the roof replacement of the Guard Station building located in the High Cascades Ranger District in Jackson County, Oregon. The project but not limited to replacing the cedar shingle roof with cedar shingles.

The Illinois Valley Ranger Station is located on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest approximately 30 miles southwest of Grants Pass, Oregon along State Highway 199 (Redwood Hwy)

Item B – Lodgepole Guard Station

The Lodgepole Guard Station is remote and located on the Rogue River-Sikiyou National Forest. Approximately 45 miles northeast of Medford, Oregon.

Travel Directions: From Medford Interagency office, 3040 Biddle Road, Medford, OR 97504, turn right 0.1 miles to Lawnsdale Road, turn right 0.9 miles to Crater Lake Highway, OR-62, turn left 13.8 miles to Butte Falls Highway, continue for 16 miles to Butte Falls-Prospect Road, turn right onto Lodgepole Road (name changes to Forest Road 34), travel left onto Lodgepole Road for 1.5 mile to Lodgepole Guard Station on left, USFS 630. Access road USFS 630 has existing locked gate with combination lock.

The selection process, and evaluation criteria to be addressed, will be outlined in the forthcoming solicitation. The solicitation will be available for download exclusively via https://www.sam.gov on or about 05/03/2023. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to award without discussions, however, reserves the right to conduct discussions should it be deemed in the Government’s best interest.

One or two Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The contract period of performance will be :

Item A – Building 1016

Complete the entire work ready for use no later than August 15, 2023

Item B – Lodgepole Guard Station

The Anticipated period of performance is July 10th, 2023 – July 28th, 2023.

The magnitude of this construction these projects are:

Item A – Building 1016

$25,000 and $150,000

Item B – Lodgepole Guard Station

$25,000 and $150,000

All offerors will be required to provide a Payment Bond (100%) for awards between $35,000 and $150,000

Note: Per FAR 52.204-7(b)(1), System for Award Management (SAM), an Offeror is required to be registered in SAM when submitting an offer and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment for any contract resulting from this solicitation.
