This sources sought announcement is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. This sources sought is seeking interest from all small business concerns capable and interested in providing maintenance, repair, and inspection services of the Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) for Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB) in Wichita County, TX.

All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for the future acquisition. No award will be made from this sources sought. A solicitation is not available; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. At this time, SAFB is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. This is merely a sources sought market research inquiry.

Attached is a DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS), which gives a general description of the scope of work that is projected to be provided at the Sheppard AFB. Please keep in mind that the attached DRAFT PWS does not define the final requirement.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment, and the small business size standard is $12.5 million.

All interested parties are to provide a brief statement of capability outlining their expertise via past/current work relative to this requirement. It is imperative that interested parties responding to this sources sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately. It should also include the below information about your company/institution, or any teaming or joint venture partners:

Be advised that the government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this sources sought. All costs associated with this sources sought will be solely at the expense of the respondents.

Additionally all submissions become government property and will not be returned. No basis for a claim against the government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought.
