         Every September, for the past twenty two years (exception of 2020-2021 due to COVID), the Ambassador of Switzerland to the US has welcomed 1’100-1’500 distinguished Washingtonians from a variety of professional backgrounds such as politics, economics, media, academia and culture to enjoy an evening on Swiss soil. The event is called the Soirée Suisse and is held on the shared grounds of the Embassy of Switzerland and the Residence of the Swiss Ambassador. The aim of this elegant and well-established garden party is to showcase Swiss innovation and hospitality as well as to strengthen existing and new relationships between embassy staff and their American counterparts from the abovementioned professional backgrounds. The event is held every mid-September, usually the second full week of September on a Wednesday, from 17h to 22h and preparations are almost year-round. The event of 13.9.23 is to be submitted as core services and the following 4 events for 24-27 are optional services.
