Proposed Scope of Work:
The U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Building 960 located on Camp Foster, is approximately 449,000 square feet in size. The existing nurse call system has exceeded its usable life expectancy. The system manufacturer no longer sells replacement components for this legacy system. The Contractor shall identify, document and design/specify, furnish and install a complete Tone-visual and Audio-visual Nurse Call System per UFC requirements (UFC 4-510-01 and UFGS 27 52 24). Conformance to NFPA 99 and its requirements for product listing by UL or a NRTL using the UL 1069 Standard is a primary requirement. Systems proposed that do not have a UL listing certification attached will not be considered.
Contractor is required at the completion of work that all hardware, software, wiring and devices consist of a UL 1069 listed system as installed. No interface, device or other attachment to the replacement system shall be installed that will violate the UL Listing, or the ability to certify the system as Listed as installed at the completion of the work.
Risk Management Framework (RMF). The provided nurse call system must meet all DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements for installation in a DOD Facility. (DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01 and UFC 4-010-06). Network devices required in the system UL-1069 listing shall be listed devices as installed. As-built drawings, floorplans and a listing of nurse call devices currently on record will be provided as part of the request for proposal.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capacity to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only written responses will be considered. All responses should appear on company letterhead. Responses shall be furnished electronically by 1 May 2023 1500 CDT. No telephone calls or facsimiles will be accepted.
