This sources sought synopsis is issued to announce the 18th Contracting Squadron, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan, as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources/capabilities to support this requirement for Grounds Maintenance Services. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) and responses to this invitation are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This is not a guarantee of a future RFQ or an award. This document should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 561730 -- Landscaping Service, PSC Code S208 -- HOUSEKEEPING- LANDSCAPING/GROUNDSKEEPING.

There is no solicitation at this time. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

Description of the requirement:

The Contractor shall provide non-personal services, to include all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at Military Family Housing (MFH) areas in a manner that will promote the growth of healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Fence lines identified shall be trimmed to prevent vegetation growth in the fence, including removal of vegetation growing up the links of the fence. All areas shall be trimmed concurrent with mowing.

Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by COB March 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM (Japan Time).
