The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for vendors with the capabilities to provide onsite inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency services for Temperature Controls at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Center and Joliet (CBOC) Location. The requirement if for Three (3) Applications Engineers and One (1) Controls Technician. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561210. General Requirements All inspections, testing, maintenance, repairs, and emergency services shall be performed in accordance with the Conformance Standards and the OEM recommendations. The VA service locations are largely Johnson Controls, Inc. Facility Explorer BAS Systems, the Contractor shall be a Johnson Controls, Inc Authorized Building Controls Specialist (ABCS) with documentation from Johnson Controls, Inc stating that they are in good standing at the time of this proposal. Each renewal year, the VA shall require the Contractor to provide a good standing letter, signed by Johnson Controls, Inc Corporate, verifying their certification is in good standing. The Contractor may utilize 3rd party subcontractors on any proprietary BAS system such as Johnson Controls, Inc Metasys, AAM, and/or ALC. However, only 10-20% of the BAS systems are proprietary. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, and materials to perform onsite inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency services for the Temperature Controls System in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). All services, including all emergency services shall be performed on-site at Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Center, Hines, IL, and the Joliet CBOC. There shall be no remote services allowed. Services shall be performed in accordance with (IAW) the SOW; Conformance Standards; the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) recommendations; any local, state, and federal standards; and VA Policies & Procedures; and The Joint Commission (TJC).
