VI.3) Additional information

This service description is for provision of a floating support service to individuals who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse, violence against women or sexual violence and who have accommodation related support needs.

Support offered will be in accordance with the purpose of Housing Support Grant set out in Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant Practice Guidance, to prevent homelessness and support people to have the capability, independence, skills and confidence to access and/or maintain a stable and suitable home.

The service will enable people where a refuge or hostels may not be appropriate, to access accommodation related advice and support to remain safely in their homes and reduce the risk of homelessness. We have decided not to specify how many individuals the service will support at any one time across Wrexham County Borough but will leave this up to the bidder to determine.
