Welsh Government, as landowner, is running a tender process to appoint one or more development partner(s) to undertake the delivery of a residential led development of 62.34 acres (25.23
hectares) at Upper Cosmeston Farm. An outline planning application has been submitted for up to 576 residential homes, a primary school, community space and public open space. It is
anticipated the application will be reported to the Planning Committee shortly. The majority of the site is allocated in the adopted Vale of Glamorgan Local Development Plan. Welsh Government will assess the public value delivered with the aspiration of creating a high quality, energy efficient, low carbon and sustainable development with strong place making credentials. All homes are to be designed to WDQR standards with 50% affordable housing provision. The Property is available as a whole, or as lots. The process is being managed by Savills as marketing agent. Interested parties are to formally register their interest in the Property by emailing Savills at cosmestonqueries@savills.com, following which access will be provided to the data room and relevant tender documents. |
