Abstract: Hywel Dda University Health Board (“HDUHB”) have awarded a contract for work to be undertaken to modernize and repair the Theatre lift at Bronglais General Hospital ("BGH"), due to significant structural concerns which are currently costing the Health Board via additional expenditure and resource.
The requirement is designed to upgrade multiple elements of the lift shaft and bring it back in line with current standards. The Shared Business Services (SBS) Soft Facilities Management Asset Compliance and Security Services framework agreement (Reference: SBS/19/UK/MX/9395) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation. This framework included several potential providers who had achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process, however the awarded supplier is the current All Wales Lift Maintenance provider who have knowledge and experience on maintaining the HDUHBs lift estate.
