Abstract:	The community pharmacy palliative care out of hours service has been running since 2003. The aim of the service is to provide on demand access to and agreed formulary of specialist medicines. The objective of the transport service is to provide a prescription collection and delivery service to palliative care patients requiring medicines urgently and must consider: • The speed of access to out of hours pharmaceutical services for palliative care. • The security arrangements for healthcare professionals, patients and drivers. It is anticipated that the contract will commence on 1st August 2022 until 31st July 2025. With the option to extend for a further 12 months (+1).

2.2 Description of the contract

The community pharmacy palliative care out of hours service has been running since 2003. The aim of the service is to provide on demand access to and agreed formulary of specialist medicines.

The objective of the transport service is to provide a prescription collection and delivery service to palliative care patients requiring medicines urgently and must consider:
